Hi Everyone..
I Have been working with CorelDRAW X6 for 6 months prior to its release, creating training for the X6 DVD and beta testing.. I think it is a release worthy of consideration.. There are so many new features and so many great reasons to upgrade.. this might sound more like a sales pitch than a review, but frankly I was really impressed.. I will keep it brief.

There is now a 64Bit version: You get both versions when you purchase... if your using a 64 bit machine, X6 will take advantage of more ram and you can create larger than 2Gig Files..

Speed and Stability: I have found X6 very stable and certainly much faster.. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. CDX6 Now uses multiple processors, so it is definitely faster in many areas.. Printing and export in particular..

Powerclip has had a radical overhaul: You will love it, its much easier to use now and very intuitive.. Easy to centre and align in different ways, select the Image inside and alter them while still remaining in design mode.. and so on..

Styles Overhaul: I was blown away by the enhancement and additions to Styles, both color styles and Properties styles.. They now save much like a CSS Style sheet when creating a web page.. Very easy, but wow.. powerful.. A new area called Harmonies is my favorite.. Make a card design.. drag it onto the Color harmony editor then watch as you rotate through color harmonies.. Its like a whole world of color options become available creating easy design and color variations.. I just loved it.. Save and import the styles whenever you want for reuse in other projects or as the main source of design for a team.. These tools are invaluable for all designers.

Complete OpenType support: Ever noticed CorelDRAW was unable to use all of the characters in a font? Have you wanted automatic substitution of ligatures? Use of true small caps and old style numerals? these and many more are now supported. Corel DRAW X6 does more with OpenType than any other software currently available including InDesign! The OpenType preview feature is awesome and quick... Corel has even included some new fonts with this release loaded with extra OpenType features. Photo paint can also utilize the new OT Support.

Smear, Twirl, Attract and Repel Tools: CorelDRAW X6 new wow tools. They allow you to manipulate your vector artwork and do some great cool stuff.. Watch my videos below I demonstrate all of them.

Smart Carver Tool: This tool lets you stretch a bitmap to new proportions without distorting the main things in an image. Just watch below.. its a fantastic tool, I was amazed.

Import/Export Filters: Format support by CorelDRAW graphic Suite is constantly updated with each new release of Corel DRAW. AI, EPS and PDF files will be easier to work with in X6. Importing PDF files works very well.

Web Editing: Creator X6 is now available to all users of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 as a free download when you register. It might not be your Web editor choice, but its free and will get you going if you are new to web design..

What should you do now.. If you are like me, you download a trial and cant find the new stuff and get frustrated... Watch the videos below, they should be a enough to convince you.. I personally started out a bit skeptical, but I was won over the more I worked with and learnt how to use the tools.. Consider my Offer for X6 on the right..
